Music Through Time Unit

Hello, everyone for the past week we have been making a map in Social Study's and its about the treaty and the west Africa people slaves. And how they live so as slaves they had to do a spiritual song so they can can fell all their felling's they have in their body Harriet Tubman was, born has a slave and Harriet was trying to escape and the Underground railroad was a way to get away from the. Bad people the spiritual song they use to hide messages was wade in the water and they were using that song, was to send a hidden message  to the other people the message was wade in the water. And that was for to tell the people that their is a way to escape from the dogs because the dogs can not smell the people from the water, so they have to swim in the water to get towards there location to escape. The events they have used today are still significant as of today because the other slaves have escaped, so they can't track them because they used the water to escape from the dogs. So that is what happened to the slaves I hope you guys well enjoy this blog post.

The lyrics they used:

Wade in the water
Wade in the water
Children wade, in the water
God's gonna trouble the water
Who's that young girl dressed in red
Wade in the water
Must be the children that Moses led
God's gonna trouble the water
Wade in the water, wade in the water children
Wade in the water,
God's gonna trouble the water
Who's that young girl dressed in white
Wade in the water
Must be the children of the Israelite
Oh, God's gonna trouble the water
Wade in the water, wade in the water children
Wade in the water,
God's gonna trouble the water
Who's that young girl dressed in blue
Wade in the water
Must be the children that's coming through,
God's gonna trouble the water, yeah
Wade in the water,
